All Saints CE Primary School Celebrated as a ‘School Full of Love and Joy'
All Saints CE Primary School, Kirkby Overblow, has been praised in its recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) report, which reflects the school’s vision to “Grow, Blossom, Flourish” in every aspect of its community life.
Inspectors described All Saints as:
“A school filled with love and joy which shapes the daily experience of pupils who attend.”
This ethos extends beyond pupils to families and staff. The report highlights:
“Pupils and families feel a deep sense of belonging, enabling children to thrive both academically and socially.”
Staff also flourish thanks to the strong support provided by Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust:
“This commitment to professional fulfilment ensures that staff feel valued, enabling them to thrive in their roles. Leaders monitor the impact of this flourishing through governor evaluation and by observing pupils thriving academically and socially.”
Trust Chief Executive Jane Goodwin expressed her delight:
“This report is a true testimony to how being part of All Saints CE Primary, Kirkby Overblow supports everyone to flourish. Staff know every child and provide the highest quality support for learning - both academically and personally. It highlights the strength of this wonderful school community and shows what a strong Christian vision, open to all children and families, can offer in a small school setting.”
The inspection also commended the school’s inclusive transition process, ensuring newcomer pupils feel welcomed from day one. Pupils are empowered through meaningful leadership roles, which positively shape the school’s climate.
Wellbeing within school is a central focus, with inspectors noting:
“Peer relationships are exceptional, balancing the challenge of both love and forgiveness through a restorative approach to behaviour.”
Staff were praised as excellent role models who:
“Consistently demonstrate positive relationships by living well together in an inclusive, respectful and equitable environment. They actively nurture one another, showing sustained respect that strengthens team unity and professional confidence.”
All Saints Headteacher Amber Andrews commented:
“We are thrilled with this recognition. It reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the support of our families. Together, we truly live out our vision to grow, blossom, and flourish.”
