Road Safety - a Step in the Right Direction!
At Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust, we were proud to stand alongside our friends, colleagues and local partners yesterday to celebrate a huge milestone for our community - the introduction of 20mph zones across southwest Harrogate.
This change is all about one thing: keeping our children, families and wider community safe.
We were delighted to mark the occasion with pupils, headteachers, local residents, North Yorkshire Highways, Harrogate & Knaresborough councillors - and especially grateful to be joined by @ynymayor David Skaith and Cllr Malcolm Taylor, North Yorkshire’s Executive Member for Highways & Transport.
he new 20mph speed limit, delivered by @northyorksc, now covers 200 streets, creating safer routes around: St Aidan’s CE High School, St John Fisher Catholic High School, Oatlands Infant & Junior Schools and Harrogate College
This is a vital step forward for road safety - and it’s just the beginning. We’re excited for Phase 2, which will bring 20mph zones to the areas around: Harrogate Grammar School, Rossett School, Ashville College, Rossett Acre Primary and Western Primary
Together, we’re building a safer Harrogate for everyone.
