National Careers Week with Our Trust Central Team

Today St. Aidan’s Year 11 students had the fantastic opportunity to hear from Tom Stephen, Estates Lead for our Trust - and a proud former student of the school!

One of our Trust’s strategic priorities is to have ambition for our students and careers talks such as this aim to broaden horizons and enrich future pathways.

Tom’s visit was a brilliant example of our Central Team working directly with young people to bring real-world learning to life. He shared his career journey since leaving St. Aidan’s, highlighting how opportunities can evolve across sectors and how skills can transfer into leadership roles in both public and private settings.

Students loved hearing about “A Day in the Life” of an Estates Lead - from coordinating major developments like the brand-new St. Aidan’s Visitors Reception, to navigating unexpected challenges… including what happens when a school building is struck by lightning!
