Reindeer Magic at Oatlands Infants

Pupils at Oatlands Infant School were treated to an unforgettable festive experience this week as Santa’s reindeer paid a special visit to the school grounds.

The surprise appearance was part of an exciting plan to spark creativity in Year 2’s Polar Express writing unit. The visit was kept under wraps, with pupils spending the previous day spotting “lost reindeer” posters and discovering half-eaten carrots around the school, building anticipation for the big reveal.

On Tuesday morning, the reindeer arrived bright and early and stayed from 8:30am to 11am, giving every class the chance to meet them up close. Pupils learned fascinating facts about the animals while soaking up the Christmas spirit.

Miss Mogg, who organised the event with North Yorkshire Reindeers, said the visit was designed to enhance the school’s festive activities and create magical memories for pupils in the final weeks of term.
